If you deny that there is any basic, "natural" gender differentiation at all, then gay marriage follows. If not, it doesn't. I think that the link with racial civil rights that many supporters of gay marriage want to make obscures this basic question. <br /><br />I believe that the male-female difference is part of nature as created by God. But I don't think the cultural expressions of that difference should be enshrined as divinely ordained, and in fact any particular way male-female difference has been expressed should be subjected to critical analysis to see how much of it is the result of human sin.
